GoogleMaps.Subgurim.NET has commercial licences for the use of the control in professional applications.
By purchasing a license, a "CommercialKey" will be provided. After applying it to the control, the following effects will take place:
- Removal of the message "Powered By Subgurim.NET. Google Maps ASP.NET" located behind the map which the visitor sees seconds before the map is loaded.
- Removal of the comments in the beginning and the end of the control code itself.
The result is that to the visitor, as well as the client you may be selling the application to, the control seems to be totally yours.
Assigning a commercial key to a map is made similarly to assigning a Google Key. The easiest way to assign the Commercial Key to a control is to type the following into the web.config:
<add key="googlemaps.subgurim.net_Commercial" value="CommercialKey" />
This way, the control will be in charge of everything.
However it is also valid to assign the key from the "Key" properties as well as in the control code itself.
GMap1.CommercialKey = "CommercialKey";
<cc1:GMap ID="GMap1" runat="server" CommercialKey="CommercialKey" />
The key of the appSettings element can also be assigned to the "Key" properties in case you don't want to use the default "googlemaps.subgurim.net_Commercial".
GMap1.CommercialKey = "myOwnCommercialKey";
<add key="myOwnCommercialKey" value="CommercialKey" />
